Nemeton TV wins All Ireland Marketing Award

Nemeton TV has taken one of the top prizes in the  All Ireland Marketing Awards.

The event which was held in  the Burlington Hotel in Dublin last week was attended by all the top marketeers from the country’s leading companies.

These “oscars” for the marketing profession are centred on the strategic value of marketing as a driver of business success.

Nemeton beat off some very strong competition in the ‘Marketing Through Irish’ category, including The Irish Independent and Bank of Ireland.

Managing Director, Irial Mac Murchú says differentiation is key in marketing.

“Using the Irish language can be a powerful way of standing out from the crowd. This has been a growing trend amongst Irish businesses, as they seek to emphasise their origin and brand values. The judges were looking for examples of firms which have harnessed the marketing potential of the Irish language and bilingualism and used this to support branding and positioning in the marketplace.”

“In the deluge of data that we are drowning in today, using Irish in our marketing gives more to the message. It gives a unique meaning to our communication and slices through the sameness to create its own space”

Nemeton employs 30 full-time staff and up to 100 freelancers and its latest initiative is online broadcasting offering app development and online streaming for video solutions.

The All Ireland Marketing Awards programme, organised by The Marketing Institute of Ireland, is the nation’s premier means of recognising the success of Irish marketing professionals and acknowledging their major contribution to the ongoing process of strengthening the economy of our island.

The aim of The Marketing Institute of Ireland in staging these awards is to promote excellence and best practice in all areas of marketing, and especially highlight the role of marketing in value creation, and its relationship to profit performance. Nemeton and 4 other companies, including Banc na hÉireann, BitSmith Games, Freedom Surf School and the Irish Independent were nominated in the Gradám Gnó as Gaeilge category sponsored by Foras na Gaeilge.
