TG4’s flagship rugby programme will broadcast the exclusive highlights coverage of the Heineken Cup final in Ireland this coming Saturday May 19, with live production and analysis from the Nemeton studio, commencing at 10pm. Presented by Máire Treasa Ní Dhubhghaill, analysis on the night will be with Eoghan Ó Neachtain, John Broderick and Eamonn Molloy with commentary from Brian Tyers.

This Saturday 12/5 we’ll be broadcasting the finals of the Bord Gáis Energy Ladies Football leagues from Parnell Park; Westmeath v Leitrim in Division 3, Galway v Mayo in Division 2 and Cork v Monaghan in Division 1. Analysis on the day with Robbie Ó Grifín, Deirdre Breathnach and Sinéad Finnegan. On-air @ 13:00.

Gráinne McElwain will be presenting with commentary from Marcus Ó Buachalla, Garry Mac Donncha and Brian Tyers.

We’ll be back with GAA BEO on Sunday 3/6 and Monday 4/6 with the semifinals and finals of Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta, before we look to the U21 Hurling Championship on Wednesday 6/6.

LAOCHRA GAEL – Episode 6 Brian McEniff

Donegal’s greatest football manager Brian McEniff will feature in the sixth episode of the  new series of Laochra Gael on Thursday the 10th May at 22.00 on TG4 with a repeat on Sunday the 13th at 21.00.

A talented wingback, Brian won Donegal’s first All Star in 1972 as player/manager of the first Donegal team to ever win an Ulster Final.
In a management career that has stretched over four decades McEniff has managed Donegal on five different occasions winning five Ulster titles and their first ever All Ireland in 1992, has led Ulster to thirteen Railway Cup titles and has guided Ireland to victory against Australia in the International Rules series.
The programme also includes contributions from Donegal’s Tony Boyle, Armagh’s Joe  Kernan and Jarlath Burns and Dublin’s Tommy Carr.

 

Final Preparations in Nemeton TV as Heineken Cup Final Approaches

Having successfully produced the Allianz Hurling and Football Leagues for TG4 to huge audiences, Nemeton TV’s production team now turns its attention back to rugby for the climax of Europe’s club rugby showpiece competition, the Heineken Cup.

And with two Irish provinces taking centre stage in the final for the first time, this year’s pairing between Leinster and Ulster on Saturday at Twickenham adds an extra dimension to the final, making it a major event in TG4’s rugby coverage.

Armagh and Crossmaglen All-Ireland winner Oisín McConville will feature in the second episode of the new series of Laochra Gael on Thursday the 12th April at 22.00 on TG4 with a repeat on Sunday the 15th at 21.00.One of the outstanding forwards of his generation Oisín speaks candidly about his career with Crossmaglen and Armagh. Twice an All Star, Oisín won an All Ireland and seven Ulster medals with Armagh and an incredible six club All Irelands with Crossmaglen.

The programme also includes interviews with Armagh’s Joe Kernan and Jarlath Burns, Tyrone’s Peter Canavan and Kerry’s Dara Ó Cinnéide

JIMMY BARRY MURPHY

The third episode of the new series of Laochra Gael on Thursday the 19th April at 22.00, with a repeat on Sunday the 22nd at 21.00, will feature Cork hurling manager Jimmy Barry Murphy.
A great Cork’s dual star, Jimmy Barry Murphy won six All Irelands and managed the Cork hurlers to the title in 1999.
Jimmy speaks openly about his many years involved with the Cork GAA and the programme also includes interviews with Cork’s Donal O’Grady, Billy Morgan and John Allen and Kilkenny’s Brian Cody.
