The TG4 O’Neills Ladies Football Allstars
Held in Citywest Hotel, Dublin last Saturday 10th November, and after another great year of football on the playing fields and another busy summer for our Ladies Football broadcasts, the best footballers in the country downed tools and gathered for a glitz, fashion and fun-filled evening. With entertainers on the night as Mary Byrne of X Factor fame, The Galway Tenors, Hermione & Tim Hennessy, Extreme Rhythm and Scoil Rince Uí Shé, a great night was had by all before the announcement of the 15 Senior Allstars at the end of the night.It was no surprise that All Ireland champions Cork finished the night with a total of 7 Allstars, runners-up Kerry received three, last year’s finalists Monaghan received two and Dublin, Mayo and Armagh each received one award. Christy Byrne from Westmeath received the well deserved Hall of Fame award. Other awards on the night were presented to four provincial Young Players of the Year and to the Junior, Intermediate and Senior Players’ Player of the Year.
