PRO14 Action & Scottish Challenge Cup Final Weekend

We’re back with live PRO14 rugby coverage on BBC ALBA this Friday night (23rd March) as Edinburgh travel to the Sportsground in Galway to face Connacht in a cross conference clash. In our extended VT at half-time, we speak to Edinburgh centre Mark Bennett on his recovery after almost a year on the side lines with a cruciate ligament injury suffered while playing for Scotland in last year’s Six Nations. The 25 year old admits he had concerns about his comeback, but is now enjoying life at the capital club.

This Saturday (24th March), Dumbarton face Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the final of this season’s Scottish Challenge Cup. In one of our VTs at half-time, we chat with those linked with Dumbarton about the excitement surrounding the club and on their hopes of ending over 120 years of waiting for a major trophy.

We’ve also been to Inverness to hear about the last time they won the Scottish Challenge Cup in a 2003/04 season that also saw the club reach the Scottish Cup semi-final stage and promotion to the then Scottish Premier League.
