Mullinalaghta are Leinster Champions!
S’iad Naomh Columba, Mullach na Leachta, buaiteoirí Craobh Peile Laighean i mbliana nuair a fuair siad bua thar Chill Mochuda Na Crócaigh an Domhnach seo caite i dTulach Mhór. Chuaigh siad dhá phointe ar aghaidh sa cheathrú deireanach agus d’fhan sé mar sin go dtí an feadóg deireanach. Is é seo an chéad uair a fuair club ón Longfort bua mar seo agus cé a chruthaigh an píosa staire seo ach club beag le 155 ball.

St. Columba’s, Mullinalaghta of Co. Longford were crowned Leinster Senior Football Champions when they defeated Dublin outfit Kilmacud Crokes on Sunday in Tullamore. A late penalty in the last quarter saw St. Columba’s pull ahead and they maintained their two-point lead until the final whistle. This is the first time a Longford club have achieved such a feat and it was a small club of just 155 members that created this piece of history.
