Hibernian v Kilmarnock
Our attention this weekend is fully on the Scottish Premiership as 4th placed Hibernian welcome 5th placed Kilmarnock to Easter Road in our featured match.
The home side will be looking to kick on from their win over Celtic last weekend – which also delayed the Glasgow club’s title celebrations - and put pressure on Rangers and Aberdeen as the race for second place heats up. Kilmarnock on the other hand will be looking to bounce back after their first loss in fifteen games at the hands of Aberdeen.
At half-time, we’ll be taking an extended look at the highlights from this season’s Scottish Junior Cup two-legged semi-finals. Auchinleck Talbot have booked their place in this year’s final, but they had to do it the hard way, overcoming Lochee United who led 1-0 from the first leg, to win it 2-1 on aggregate over the two games. Hurlford United will join them in the final after a semi-final which was just as close. Hurlford led from the 1st leg 1-0 and it was that away goal that proved to be the difference as they drew in their home tie with Wishaw Juniors 1-1, but also progressing to the final 2-1 on aggregate. The final between the sides will take place at Rugby Park on Sunday 27th May with a 16:10 kick-off and it’ll be shown live on BBC ALBA.
