SCOTTISH WOMEN’S PREMIER LEAGUE on BBC ALBA
This weekend we are delighted to bring you our first game of the new season of the Scottish Women’s Premier League and what a cracker of an encounter to start us off.
On Friday (29th March) the coverage kicks off from Ainslie Park at 19:35 as Hibernian Ladies go up against title rivals Glasgow City. This is sure to be a tight contest between the teams with both sides more than capable of beating the other on the day. Hibs are currently top of the table with City a point behind them with a game in hand. It’s still early on in the season but both sides will know that the outcome could have a significant bearing on the title.
SCOTTISH CHALLENGE CUP FINAL on BBC ALBA
This weekend our attention is on the nail-biting final of the Scottish Challenge Cup as Welsh side Connah’s Quay Nomads take on Ross County.
Andy Morrison’s side have beaten a host of Scottish clubs to get to the final with Falkirk, Queen’s Park and Edinburgh City all struggling against them. The Nomads will be looking to add Ross County to that list and if they succeed they will be the first team outside of Scotland to have won the trophy. Will they be able to make to make history?
