case study
GAA
Archiving our Treasures
the challenge
The GAA did not have its own archive and was dependant on the goodwill of various broadcast partners to store its archive in various formats and locations.
the solution
We worked with the GAA to draw up and implement an archiving strategy. From this we secured the contract to source and retrieve all the archive, ingest, catalogue and manage the digital assets that were created. We are now digitising, curating, and hosting the GAA’s entire archive since 1962.
the results
The GAA has now secured its own independent archive. This digital archive is being used as a resource for the public in the Croke Park Museum as well as being used to create content for the web, social media and the big screen in Croke Park.
